My Secret to Staying Slim

Over the last year or so everyone has been asking me about my secret to staying slim.

“What’s your secret to looking so good?” “what’s your workout routine?” I usually just stated that I didn’t do anything special, just try to go to the gym 3-4x a week. (I don’t ever look at a scale either btw) Then I really thought about it and realized that my day-to-day actually may differ from others. What I consider a norm to contribute to good health, might be extra work for others.

Here is a list of a few things that I do on a daily basis that you might want to add to your routine too!

  1. 80% of the time I’m eating a meal that I cooked.

When I grocery shop I plan out my meals for 2 weeks. My eating style is the 80/20 rule naturally, I’ll cook nutritious foods and still eat out.

  2. I drink my greens.

I may not have the chance to eat clean greens all the time based off of what I’m cooking but I know I’ll be able to get my greens in if I drink them. I’m a sucker for the Evolution Fresh Pressed Juices from Whole Foods! As of recently, to save a few pennies in my pocket, I have been making my own green juice. It gets the job done. Also, I always incorporate greens in my smoothies: spinach, kale, cucumber, and celery. Green juices or smoothies usually are my breakfast 2-3 days out of the week.

  3. Vitamins.

If you haven’t read my blog post “The Vitamin Guide” stop right here and go read it! Vitamins help aid with your physical health especially if you have a busy lifestyle. I have incorporated chlorophyll drops into my morning routine and noticed an extreme boost in my energy. You can shop for it on my Amazon Storefront!

  4. Working out.

I go to the gym 3x a week and have been throwing a pilates class in there once a week. I understand that going to the gym is not for everyone. We can all benefit from participating in some kind of physical activity on a daily basis. You can take a walk around your neighborhood, sign up for a dance class, or even do a home workout on youtube. Find something that works best for you, the possibilities are endless!

Will you be adding anything from my list into your daily routine? Let me know in the comments :)
